In 2020 the church tower collapsed. The villagers had to arrange for scaffolding to support the remainder of the church and to surround the building with hoardings to prevent access. The hoardings were corrugated metal and looked rather barren. The villagers then decided to make and paint 8’ by 4’ murals to brighten up the appearance and also tell the history of the village and church. The photos show the murals in position (above) and also in close up in groups of three to tell the story.
